An MP4 is a container: it must have a playable audio track with speech. Silent slides and text shown on screen are not transcribed. The sample below demonstrates timing and exports with authored text and synthetic speech.
Check the video alongside the text and add your own notes for charts or demonstrations. If audio cannot play, export a compatible file from the original editor; changing the filename extension does not convert the media.
TXT and Markdown work well for reading and editing; SRT keeps subtitle timing. VTT, STL, XML, FCPXML and EDL require Creator Plus or Studio. Check timings in your editor before publishing.
