Privacy Policy
This policy explains how SnipLume handles information when you download public media, create an account, upload or transcribe media, use the creator workspace, connect an integration, or purchase a plan.
The short version
- We do not ask for passwords to YouTube or other source platforms.
- Uploaded source media is removed from temporary media storage after transcription cleanup; saved transcripts and workspace outputs remain until deletion.
- We use service providers to run authentication, storage, payments, transcription, downloads, analytics, and optional integrations.
- We do not sell personal information.
01. Information we collect
Account information may include your email address, authentication identifiers, profile settings, plan, credit balances, and workspace records. If you contact support, we receive the information in your message.
For download requests, we process the source URL, selected format, platform, request time, account identifier when signed in, and IP address. We use this data to deliver the file, enforce the daily free-video limit, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and protect the service.
For creator tools, we process media you upload or links you submit, generated transcripts, timestamps, translations, summaries, notes, scripts, project metadata, and exports you choose to save.
02. How we use information
We use information to provide downloads, transcription and AI tools; authenticate accounts; maintain plans and credits; save projects; process payments; answer support requests; monitor reliability and security; measure product usage; prevent fraud and abuse; and comply with legal obligations.
We may use aggregated or de-identified statistics to understand product performance. We do not use your private workspace content to build advertising profiles.
03. Media, transcripts, and retention
Uploaded source media is held in temporary storage while a transcription job is processed. The product attempts to remove that source media after the job completes or fails and cleanup runs. Do not upload the only copy of a file.
Generated transcripts, project records, summaries, translations, scripts, and other saved outputs remain in your workspace so the product can provide its saved-project features. You can delete individual projects. To request account deletion, contact support@sniplume.com.
Limited records may remain for a reasonable period in security logs, transaction records, fraud-prevention systems, or backups where required for operations, disputes, accounting, or law. Payment records may be retained for tax and financial compliance.
04. Service providers and disclosures
We share information only as needed with vendors that operate the service. These currently include Supabase for authentication, database and parts of storage; Cloudflare R2 or equivalent object storage for media handling; Stripe for payment processing; Supadata and relevant download or transcription providers for requested media processing; Google Analytics for usage measurement; and Notion only when you choose to connect that integration.
A source URL or media file may be sent to the provider needed to fulfill your request. Stripe receives payment and billing details; SnipLume does not store your full payment-card number.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users and the service, to investigate abuse or fraud, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
05. Cookies and analytics
SnipLume uses essential browser storage and cookies for sign-in, security, language and product settings, checkout return state, and session continuity. We also use analytics to understand page and feature usage.
Browser settings and content blockers may limit non-essential analytics, but disabling essential storage can prevent authentication, checkout, workspace, or quota features from working correctly.
06. Security
We use access controls, signed download links, rate limits, provider credentials kept on the server, and other technical and organizational safeguards intended to reduce unauthorized access and abuse.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Use a strong sign-in method, protect your account session, and contact support@sniplume.com if you believe your account or data has been compromised.
07. Your choices and rights
You can avoid creating an account for eligible free downloads, delete saved projects in the product, disconnect optional integrations, and request access, correction, export, objection, restriction, or deletion where applicable to you.
Send privacy requests to support@sniplume.com from the email associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity. Legal rights vary by location, and some records may need to be retained for legal, security, payment, or fraud-prevention reasons.
08. International processing and children
SnipLume and its providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on contractual and legal safeguards for international transfers.
The service is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it. If you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
09. Third-party sources and your responsibilities
Source platforms, linked websites, and optional integrations have their own privacy practices. This policy does not cover information you provide directly to them.
Only submit media you are authorized to download, record, upload, transcribe, or reuse. You are responsible for consent, copyright, confidentiality, and any workplace or local-law requirements that apply to the content.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. We will revise the date above and provide additional notice when required.
